The Court of Greenvale has announced that Sir Jestin is the first non-Elf to be given the honour of knighthood. Henceforth he shall be recognised as a champion and knight of the City of Hope. Any hostilities committed against Sir Jestin will be considered a crime against Greenvale.

The burning corpse of a carefully executed green dragonkin lay outside of Raven's Watch, onlookers will notice a single puncture wound on the corpse's neck. Awkwardly placed, a brazier is on location that contains the flaming hands of the creature, grasping onto a statuette of an erinyes.
A makeshift sign presides over the body, words very awfully scratched into the wood. The sign reads the following: "Dragonkin, some of us do not welcome your kind here either."

News from Steinkreis is of a spate of burglaries and arson attacks on homes and businesses across the city. Almost every night the City’s sky glows with hues of red and gold against the inky sky, but sometimes this is from bonfires and not burning buildings. Victims are slow to talk to the authorities, who are said to be investigating. However, the presence of city knights and knaves is always noticeably thinner around addresses in “Lowtown”, and they never stay long.
A number of arrests are getting made, but it does little to curb the criminal activities overall.
There is talk of a curfue being introduced but many folk still legitimately walk the streets at night, with many business and locations operating all hours of the day. How it could be introduced and ‘policed’... who can say.
For now, Honest citizens are asked to keep their eyes peeled and report anything suspicious to the correct authorities. They are also warned that ‘vigilante action’ will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
A most foul and atrocious crime has been committed and against the most vulnerable citizens of our fine City! Talk to anyone worth talking to around Steinkreis and they will tell you of our exclusive report, that is of a break-in at the Orphanage! It was recently widely-spoken of that an anonymous and goodhearted nobleman of admirable distinction donated a sizeable sum of gold to the Orphanage out of the blue, in order to pay for all of their wants and needs. And while it can be confirmed through official channels that a good chunk of the donated money had already been spent on outfitting the place with all the wants of the waifs, a larger proportion of the cash sum had remained in secure storage within the Orphanage. That was, until now!
The only witnesses to the crime were the very children of the Orphanage themselves. Officials confirm that those who wanted to come forwards with information have already been questioned by specially trained Knight-Captains. Initial reports suggest that a child-like figure, completely black from head to foot (skin and clothes) was seen fleeing from the Orphanage - this story corroborated between at least three of the youngsters who were sneaking out of their beds for a midnight snack: nobody saw this mysterious figure come in. Some believe this to be the vengeful spirits of children that have passed away under the care of the Orphanage; this figure having been spotted elsewhere in the city recently. Officials say that this is nonsense however and refute any claims of such lack of care from the Orphanage.
Others of the youngsters say it was definitely the boogeyman, with at least one tiny tot adamant that it was the monster from under her bed, however a thorough search of the bedroom in question did not reveal a single trace of the stolen coin.
One thing is certain for this newsgnome: whoever or whatever conducted this terrible offence must have a heart colder than a Northland Giant's warhammer.
Officials are confident they will catch the culprits, but whether the coin will ever be returned is another matter. They call on anyone who can offer aid to the Orphanage at this difficult time to do so, and for those with information, to come forward.

Rumor has it a Tel'Mordere ambassador passed through the Crossroads with a painted deer bound for Feywood. Accounts of her arrival are conflicting, some saying she was taken prisoner and the others saying she was welcomed with open arms.

There has recently been talk among some of the Steinkreis guards about a shady-looking wizardly fellow asking around about zombies. He seemed to be looking for anything unusual going on in the area.
Perhaps not entirely unrelated, a few Steinkreis knights, a knight captain, and a few citizens were found dead near the Crossroads, killed by being mauled to death or cut open with what looks like scythes. According to a few adventurers, including one dragonkin woman talking about it with anyone in the Watch willing to listen, this was the result of a horde of zombies that just wouldn't stay dead, regardless of how much magic or brute force was used on them.

The Lorekeeper Urist Wiretones has been heard asking around for rumors of a gnome wizard with a lair in the wastes. He refers to the creature as a "soon-to-be-former gnome".

One of the Aerison Caravan's guards, after going AWOL for several days, hands in his notice at their firm while noticeably stinking of wine. While strong and brave, Jonas was a liability because of his tendency to do these sorts of things and will hardly be missed by the company. Instead, Jonas seeks adventure and to lend his arm by the adventurer's campfire, another young, brave and stupid man ready and willing to take his place.
Meanwhile...
An unrecognisable, mutilated corpse is discovered by the bagnorn orcs. Never a group to look a gift horse in the mouth, they presumably dine well for an evening on the large human.

A Paladin by the name of Gustav Gustafsson makes his way to the island. He asks around at the docks for the nearest temple of Torm, and is surprised when he is told there is no such building.
By asking around at the crossroads, he is told that the leader of the Keepers of Thain is a Tormite by the name of Dace Sontan, and the young paladin is pointed in the direction of Hamley, his grandfather's greatsword slung over his back.

ATTACK ON GREY IRON AND CRATER OUTLOOK!
Steinkreis suffers yet another attack on her soil as Bagnorn Orcs spill down the Grey Mountains!
A terrible and heinous act of war has been declared on all civilized and goodly folk on the island by the beastly, biped ape-men of the Bagnorn Tribe as they, just last night, descended the Grey Mountains to attack Grey Iron and Crater Outlook.
Only thanks to the valiant and combined efforts of the most illustrious Kinhunters, stalwart Hoplites and dutiful Knaves and Knights was the attack repelled. But not without severe casualties! Many husbands and sons, mothers and daughters, brothers and sisters, will not be returning to the embrace of their families. "The beasts will pay with their lives, until the heads of each one is piked outside the Great Keep," vows a grieving Lady Kinsbane, Ashellia Adair.
But this is not all! A detachment of Bagnorn Orcs accompanied by foul, armored wyrms and other winged abominations descended upon Crater Outlook, presumably to salvage the frozen remains of the Aspect Dragon Fhelkorn. That the wards yet hold is in sole thanks to the impossible sacrifice made by a token of chosen Kinhunters and a number of brave adventurer heroes. It is witnessed that the very orchestrator behind the Kinsarmy, the Bloodwinged himself, was leading the attack astride a massive red dragon. The half orc, half dragon monstrosity was thwarted, but evaded capture. Some say the beast fled into Fort Crater, the fort that was recently and most unlawfully annexed by Krel Twistback.
Have the nefarious Bagnorn Orcs allied with the Kinsarmy, and is their leader, the Bloodwinged, in league with Raven's Watch? How will Steinkreis answer? Stay tuned, good reader, as The Steinkreis Times digs deep to unearth all about the Kinswar!
