I'm off for the week for some vacation time in the mountains. What's not to love about hiking through the tick-infested wilderness and sloshing through frigid snow-melt streams with a 3 and 5 year old?

And if you're going into bear country, remember your pepper gas and jingle bells.
And you can tell if you're in Grizzly (brown) bear territory by their distinctive spore -- it smells like peppers and may have jingle bells in it.
