First of all I can not express enough how encouraging and helpful all the players have been.
That being said over the past few days I may have come across as snippy I do apologize.
I understand we all come here to relax and all have rl issues.
I have oseto arthritis. I was diagnosed with it at a younger age, I have had hips replaced in the last 8 years, the second one as recent as october of last year, I have OA in the knees. One has a torn miniscus and the other a lateral tear with a small part bone on bone. I had injections which helped but the pain is starting to flare again. I will be going to get more injections, If they do not work then itd replacement for both knees.
I need to do flexibility exercises which do not take long and are mostly the reason why I go afk. I try not to let this interfere with the rp and appreciate how in general players going afk is accepted.
I also have a full time job during the week so naturally I cannot be up as late as I can the weekends which is why sometimes I may decline a joint venture or have to leave early.
If I do have to leave, I try to make it ic.
Also I have been trying to cut down on tells as I know that can be distracting and also on ooc comments. In reference to those however sometimes.

I think I likely speak for most, if not all, when I say that you have nothing to apologize for. Thank you for sharing a little of your personal story and for allowing yourself to be honest with all of us about some of your personal struggles.
As for leaving the game... feel free to go whenever you need to for any reason. This is a game, not a surgical theater. For myself, I have left ungracefully more times than I can count. Often with "Ugly logout in 5" as my only parting remark.
And, speaking only for myself, when I am RPing with others on Thain I tend to see in my mind a group of friends sitting around a table enjoying one another's company. And, for me, tells and OOC remarks or comments are an enjoyable part of that.
Take care of yourself above all things Thain.

You're okay, Animayhem. I didn't notice any 'snippiness' from Thralith (especially compared to Korvallis).
Sorry to hear about your OA issues. I hope things improve.
Since this is an apologies thread, I need to apologize to the players in the Ogre Belly last night when I caused the vegepygmies to invade the common room. I got a stern 'dressing down' from Korvallis (doorman) for my behavior. Last time I'd looked at any 'rules' thread or faq was probably 8 years ago (or last week) and had forgotten doing such was verboten.

Do me a favor and don't cut down on any tells with me. I love talking with my fellow gamers. Even if you are snippy. I have to deal with Amricil and Death from a Above and they are super snippy

I too have Osteo Arthritis in the hips and rheumatoid...well..everywhere else. So I can appreciate the curse of living in constant pain. One can try and explain what it is like, but I doubt anyone can truly understand what it is to never knowing a moment when nothing hurts.
Stepping away from the comp is needed now and then, so ensure you do it. Also talking about it is helpful, so if you need to just vent about life, feel free to spam me with tells Ani.
Part of the reason I was gone so long was the recent addition of the Osteo. Sitting in one spot while my hips started to scream in protest, made me sitting at a comp extremely difficult. I never told anyone this, mainly because telling people of pain was getting to be a part of my game time, and frankly I didn't want to bother anyone with it.
All that said, people will understand Ani. Thain is full of good people, and I regret it took me this long to come back and remind myself just how great my friends here are.
