As a general announcement, we are aware that factions at the moment are behaving in a less than ideal manner, with many characters being hostile to, or friendly to, random factions. We are looking into the cause of this, and have reset the server several times to try to fix it, but nothing has worked thus far. If you see a DM on, feel free to ask one of us to manually fix you in the meantime. Thanks!
I'm sorry you must hear this from me in writing. I was afraid my courage would not hold if we spoke face to face. I know I promised you that I would put the past behind me, but it has come time for me to break that oath. One of Morgan's boys found him. After all these years. I could not afford to lose more time and immediately booked passage.
As I write this, I am swinging on a hammock, bound for an island by the name of Thain. Do not fear for me, sweet Anabelle. While I may have only taken what I could carry, I have with me my blade and my wits. You of all people know how sharp I keep both.
I hope to finish my business soon, so that we may be with eachother once again. I've asked Darren to check in on you when he has the time. I will write you every moment I have the chance.
I have made it safely to these foreign shores. Passage was smooth until we hit a storm just off port. Thankfully it will take more than a bit of rain to sour my mood. The locals I have met seem kind enough, but they warn of hidden dangers throughout the land. It seems as though the island is not as kind.
It was not hard to find enough work to afford food and a meager room at a local inn. I am holding hope that I can be hired for the skillset I've acquired over these long years and earn a bit more coin. It may be needed in the future if what I came for takes too long.
I miss you, my sweet Annabelle. I discovered a peaceful meadow along the coast in my travels. It reminds me of your garden. I wish you were here with me to see it. Here is to hoping I find more serene locations like this in the future.
I'm slowly learning the lay of the land. Though, it seems to grow truly familiar with it would take a lifetime. Imagine if we explored here together in our youth!
I met a young bard the other night. She sang a song around the flames where many of the folk gather. It reminded me of your wordless melodies, always so comforting. I yearn for the days I can hear them again, and alas it may yet be some time.
I do not believe I tipped my hand too soon. Nor do I believe he would have left the island upon hearing of my arrival. Quite the opposite I would hope. Sadly the trail has gone cold and I must find way to another lead. There are parts of this isle many have addressed unsavory. Perhaps somewhere amongst the rabble I will gain new knowledge. There is a port they say is ruled by those of dragon blood. Maybe I will find something new there.
