Descending through the Depths of Blood

A powerful force cements the Bloodguard together – The Blood of Thain, and through this belief in one greater entity they are able to serve the island. Thain provided the guard her blood, and with it… came the power to enhance their bodies, their minds, and their weapons. This blessing forged the relationship between the guard, and Thain. As long as the guard should watch over her lands, she would provide them with her Blood. To truly embrace the Blood, a soldier or chaplain must follow through the with a holy ritual, conquering the Depths of Blood. There are six virtues to utterly understanding what the Blood means and represents, with each step deeper a follower of such gains more understanding and a greater connection to the island.

This ritual process is overseen by the Blooded of the chaplains. They set forth only the conditions, but each who seeks to take on the ritual must find their own path, their brothers, and sisters, as witness to the destination they set forth toward. Each that looks to this ritual, must understand each portion of the Blood before they can truly descend into the depths of the Blood. Once they had arrived, they would find her blessings, her power, and her trust.

Chapter One

[ image disabled ]

Within Castra Aurelia’s chapel, Celestine stands glancing over the holy text, her arms move to pull open the massive tome, and reads it to herself yet again.

Sacrifice, Justice, Fortitude, Order, Service, And Retribution

Set to stone by the revived Chaplains of Blood - These are the faces of the religion founded on the Blood, and the means all those blessed by the Blood of Thain look to uphold. In no order, those that search to create a deeper connection with the blood should follow each virtue given to them and attempt to prove themselves to the Blood of Thain. Each member of the order finds their own task and sets forward to accomplish the essence of this task.

The tome continues to speak of previous and current members of the order, the tasks they had taken on – and the blessings they wield. There is a small newly inked section regarding Celestine, but it only reads that she holds a connection to the Blood.

Sacrifice in the Bloodguard is one of the highest priorities. The guard cannot serve in this position - expecting to be a shield of the island, and a sword against the monsters who plague it, without first admitting they are willing to sacrifice anything and everything they have. Through means of labor, time, and our promise, we find what we are willing to sacrifice for the sake of others. As those who serve the Blood look to protect the island, it is imperative they look to themselves – and truly ask if they are willing to, or already have, made sacrifices in the name of the island and her blood.

She turns from the book, her eyes moving toward the ceiling above before finding their way down to the statuette of Cassia. Her thoughts flicked between Hammersong, the North, and the Witch who claimed her eye during a patrol gone awry.

“As the island should call on us, the guard shall reaffirm our faith in the Blood. The depths must be descended, and our soldiers must rally to her aid, to the aid of Thain and her Blood.”

Chapter Two

[ image disabled ]

Another moment in time where the Chaplain sits within the sacred halls, glancing over another excerpt from the holy book as she glances beyond to the courtyard...

The Blooded Chaplains and the members of the guard are expected to see their duties through, and with such a task comes work that many would fail to stomach. Justice in the face of adversity comes at a price. The guard cannot question if they can truly uphold Justice, and what must be done in the name of it. The second depth, the Chaplain, or even a mere follower of the blood, may aspire to delve toward is such.

In the eyes of those the guard protect, the island around them and her denizens, the Blood Guard are expected to bring forward Justice. No creature, monster, or beast should be able to hold ground over her lands – and it is the work of the guard to see that mission through. Any creature that would see her harmed, plagued, or mistreated shall be in the scope of the Bloodguard. Justice shall be provided for those who raise children, grow their crops, and make their way through Thain and her lands.

The tome continues, explaining the different means to prove such, proclaiming Commander Bastian and his work to establish Castra Aurelia as a new chance for those of the Blood to show the island their Justice -- The Blood’s Justice.

Justice in the Bloodguard comes often through their work keeping monsters back However, that is not all. The actions of those within the guard are ever seen, and ever criticized. Thain, and her blood, shall be protected. These actions show what the guard's justice is, and what should be made of Thain. A place free from monsters.
After one would find such an understanding of their place, they would understand better the task of carrying their shield to battle, a new meaning as they prepare and don their armor before a patrol, and a deeper connection with their brothers and sisters before battle. The Bloodguard fights for those with no shield, those across the island, and those who would see their families protected.

She mutters to herself briefly, "Bringing justice to those who escape it - lurking in the shadows. Crawling through caves, plotting, and scheming... the beasts of the island wait. They are ready to pounce and disrupt the lives of those making their way. The monsters will be stopped. They will meet the Justice that the Blood provides."

Chapter Three

[ image disabled ]

A memory comes to the Chaplain this day, of her first patrol where she watched three of her brothers be struck down by a massive ogre in the mountains. The day she realized what a war against the creatures of the island meant, and what may be lost… Her hands move quickly, turning to the pages regarding the next virtue of her faith.

A knight’s work comes with a never-ending push to better the lives of those they protect. A Blooded Chaplain’s work entails seeing the guard in their strongest moments, and their final moments. Fighting to keep the island safe and pushing their limits at each moment ensures Thain’s safety. The persistence… the Fortitude of those who follow the Blood is what allows the Blood Guard to persevere.

The soldiers who would see Thain and her Blood protected rally with their full energy, until their time has come to an end. Omnes una manet nox. Each and every member of the Blood Guard know this as fact, that their time will come to end – yet until such a time happens it is their priority to continue the fight. To never give up, never surrender.

This chapter speaks of Bastian and his work, one of the highest symbols to offer toward the Fortitude of the guard comes from his work to fight against the witch, nearly striking her down in battle, before he fell unconscious. Further, it speaks of his passion to keeping Thain safe, and his raising of Castra Aurelia into the new home for the revived guard.

Fortitude is a key for soldiers to unlock their true stride in finding meaning through the Blood. They must not falter as they attempt to understand her teachings, and her blessings. Through this dedication, they find a means to push their feet forward on their patrols. No matter if their comrades should fall, they carry on and grow stronger. The memory of their time served is not to be forgotten, but to be a torch guiding forward the rest of the Blooded Chaplains, knights, and hunters.

Descend through the blood, and find where your fortitude comes from.

Having watched allies fall, good soldiers who had their service ended short – men with families who will never see their wives or children again. Women who never see their sons grow old with them… Their deaths carry a message for her. The monsters must be purged, the island must be cleansed. No longer shall they be free to do as they please while the Blood Guard stands.

Chapter Four

[ image disabled ]

The chaplain walks through the maintained streets of the market in Steinkreis, before leaving the city to make her path northward to Castra Aurelia. As she enters the chapel a conversation with Bastian Northmere from her days as a recruit comes to mind,

“We’re here to make sure this world is kept in order, and the darkness driven back. And if you know what’s good for you, you’ll keep to the rules, and not show an ounce of sympathy for the monsters of this world.”, her expression contorts into one of grim determination as she reaches the altar before her. Opening the large tome that rests upon it to a chapter simply titled, “Order”. She reads:

“Order is to be obtained on the island directly from the destruction of monstrous creatures crawling the lands. The Blooded Chaplains hold the Blood’s blessings close to their chest in a mission to see monsters from the darkness destroyed and order maintained. Should the Blood Guard fall, so shall order. Laws, rules, and order are the foundation for those looking to lead a life on the island, and so shall those be upheld.

These principles are found in every city free from monsters. They follow a strict code and see their cities prosper and thrive. Still, as cities grow, there are those who would see order brought to ruin. Creatures from the great beyond who would dare to interfere with the path of mortals must be banished through the blessings of the Blood. Demons, Devils, Celestials… they all lack a mortality, and would see the island bent to their own wills. Stories old as the island tell of their attempts to exploit Thain and her denizens – and for this they are banished in her name.”

The tome continues to expand on the idea of order - a note in the margins of the text points to the liberation of the Trade and Tackle from the dragon-blooded savages. “Through many battles fought, the Blood Guard can raise new forts to expand our promise to the island. Further expand our reach - and with it, the safety and order we provide.”

“Order is what leads a Blooded Chaplain’s path, a guide that keeps them resolute in their quest to vanquish those that would cultivate ruin and despair. Those in the service of the Blood must be prepared to see this duty through, no matter the cost. A dedication to order, is a dedication to seeing the island saved and maintained. It is through dedication, that the guard strides into further into the regions of the island. Monsters must be destroyed, Order must be upheld, and Thain must be protected.”

The tome is closed as the Chaplain heads out of the gate on a patrol, although her work to uphold Order may not be enough in her lifetime – she still pushes forward. No matter the cost.

Chapter Five

[ image disabled ]

Another aggressive push for land by the goblins inhabiting the foothills. Castra Aurelia does not yield. The guard remains vigilant, looking over the bloodied battlefield, corpses of goblin and guard alike lay upon the ground. Wounds from a blade to her back, and the exertions of combat leave the chaplain spent, a dull ache settling deep in her bones. Still, she finds herself moving not towards her quarters, but to the familiar chapel walls within the keep.

“Often a service to a greater cause leaves room for doubt and question. Such doubt and question would lead to a doubt in a Blooded’s faith. No knight seeking to be a shield of the island should question their actions when destroying the creatures of darkness. With the conviction to see a monster’s destruction, comes a bond greater than any could forge with the Blood. Her blessings and power grant us our place on this island, and the Blood Guard shall see it used accordingly. To bring ruin onto those who accept darkness is the service owed by those who dedicate themselves to the Blood, be it by aiding victims of such beings, or carving out the rot at its core.”

“As hunts continue, as beasts rise from the darkness, and as monsters attempt to strike at the inhabitants of Thain – we must remember the mission set forth, to care for those living on Thain’s land after the beasts had been destroyed. Through the promise of a safe return home, or through the stationing of guards while their homes are rebuilt, the life of the common folk is changed for the better. This is the path toward the virtue of Service.”

As the pages continue forward, speaking of services the guard provides to the island, one portion stands out amongst the rest. The tome speaks of Captain Regaine, a woman who pushed herself to see Thain protected by way of connecting soldiers to the Blood of Thain – forming the order of Blood Guard. Her service is spoken of highly through the pages for without it, the island would have fallen to darkness.

“A servitude to the island, to her Blood, and to fellow knights or chaplains – this is the bond that connects all who strive for a future of prosperity across the island. Without the service to the Blood, Thain would be left in darkness. The Blooded shall always see the darkness stopped wherever it grows. Move ever closer to the Blood of Thain, and her blessings shall grow stronger with you. Her might grows stronger, and her connection to us all ever blooms.”

The holy text is closed, and the chaplain moves down the aisle in the center of the chapel. Celestine wanders toward one of large stained-glass windows that illuminate the great halls. Her arms cross as her one eye peers through the large piece of art, as she mutters a single phrase to herself.

“Aut viam inveniam aut faciam.”

She would find a way to see Thain protected, to be the shield she needs in this hour of darkness. The guardian will rise again.

Chapter Six

[ image disabled ]

The chaplain leaves through the gates of Steinkreis as she wanders toward Cassia’s grave. The one who fell for the Blood Guard to return. The one who looked toward her goals with each step she took and each breath she drew. She claimed back the beautiful land of Thain from darkness at each turn. Her grave was not the only which the chaplain frequented, but of Captain Regaine’s as well. A captain from the original ranks of the Blood Guard, who fell too early.

Both had stood for the Blood of the island, and made it their goals to ensure darkness would not find a foothold while they stood. With each story of a hero, comes a fall… for both these soldiers, it came too soon. The darkness ensured they departed from the work they set toward – yet their legacy burns eternal. A flaming sword, a passion to be the shield of Thain, and a desire to see her prosper.

Through the slowly melting snow her feet drag toward the north, back to her home – the Red Chapel. On her arrival into the chamber, the massive holy text is opened slowly. Dust settles around her as she reads through the text yet again.

“Those who would serve the Blood may not see the fruits of their labor, their time, or their dedication. Darkness may still grow when their time of Thain runs short, but that does not mean the Blooded shall forget, or forgive. They shall rise to the destruction the darkness attempts to bring and smite it in the name of the fallen. No such path forward for the Blood Guard is free from the memories or deeds of the fallen who stood as their shield, and as their sword. Each and every blooded must understand the darkness does not falter if it is not struck at the core of what spews the vile darkness forward onto Thain herself.

Through such a daunting task the Guard move forward, finding retribution for the fallen – and seeing their dedication complete. They shall not have given their lives for nothing, but for the greater protection of the island. A task to see forward the retribution of the wrong doings that the darkness has forced onto Thain should be in the minds of all who see the holy Blood stay the force which abolishes the darkness.”

The tome speaks of Cassia Aurelia, and her retribution. Cassia had shown the island the Blood Guard’s desire and passion was to only see Thain protected, and the darkness driven out. Cassia had allowed for the Guard’s return from banishment, and again take arms against the foul creatures who plague the island.

“For as long as the Blood still favors us, and Thain should require a force to see her guarded – the Blood Guard shall stand. They shall fight. The darkness will never find purchase. No longer will Thain yield her bounties to terror and fear, for the Guard will rise to their attempts and remove it from her holy lands. Retribution is a fuel for those who fight under the Blood Guard’s banner, and with such a fuel all who bring chaos, darkness, and corruption shall be destroyed.””

The text is closed, and the chaplain considers the words of such a tome. Cassia had fallen to darkness… and should the chaplain still stand – she would see it her mission to provide retribution against the creatures who felled the Blood Guard’s champion.

When Cassia fell… so too did the Guardian who oversaw the protection of the island’s heart, the last defense from darkness. With the chance it would be revived, the chaplain stands ready to see darkness purged.

Vivamus, moriendum est.

Chapter Seven

[ image disabled ]

On Fortitude and Service

The chaplain sits by a hearth within the keep as she tries to force the tension from her shoulders. A plan, made with those she trusted. The mission? Healing the island of its festering blight and restoring her guardians. However their attempt at swift action was made in vain. The group had traveled northward in hopes of discovering a long forgotten history; a secret lost to time. By caravan they travelled, arriving as the last winter gale tore through the scarred tundra. Hours passed by, one by one, as the group traveled the trails. Footsteps lost to snow, and a map followed that could not guide them further. As they pushed ever further through unrelenting winds, their journey came to an abrupt conclusion. The world dimmed, shadows under trees became endless, creeping unerringly towards the envoy whispering all the while.

Run...”

They ran. Seconds turned into minutes turned into hours, as exhaustion overtook and they collapsed. Whispers turned to screams, not heard with ears but with minds.

“You cannot escape the inevitable...”

“You cannot escape from what is not real...”

Clouds of shadow approached. Moving toward the group taking the light from their eyes and leaving only darkness.

A journey ended before it could begin, a dream shared amongst them. In truth they had only made it to the trail almost fifteen feet from the Caravan they traveled north with before they each collapsed into the snow. What became clear from this vision, was that night had fallen on the Northlands. A plague of darkness moved to claim a blessing from the island – and the young chaplain would see this stopped. The Aether shared its knowledge, that without guards – the guardians are malleable, blessings can be shifted, corrupted by darkness. A creature beyond understanding, one that lives in both dream and reality, had taken a foothold in the frozen mountains – and moved quickly to siphon the power of Thain for its own evils. She looked to Lady Elowyn, and the White Rose to aid her in this time as she took but a moment of her own time to consider a passage from the chapters of Blood.

“A foundation is needed between the Blooded and their holy missions, for without such they will crumble, and the darkness would see them claimed. The creation of such is through their dedication to persevere and to see their work completed. By calling on their strength, the island's strength, and that of those who would see the island protected – they find their foundation built. No individual is capable of seeing the island protected and prosperous. The Blood Guard and her Blooded are not alone in their mission and will never be left by those who would see the darkness purged.

As a Blooded’s service to the island continues and grows, so does their fortitude to ensure they may be a shield for moons to come. A shield between to see the darkness held back at whatever cost. As knights of her blessing, the Blooded shall be the barrier between corruption and light, between darkness and prosperity. Should they fall the island would be left to ruin, as long as the Guard still persists so shall their charge.

Ensuring the foundation of a Blooded’s path is secure is to ensure they maintain their body, mind, and soul. Serve those in need, avoid the influences that would see a body brought to ruin outside of battle, and do not falter in the face of creatures who would see Thain, and her bounties destroyed. Where a soldier of the Blood has limits, such are meant to be shattered as they build themselves stronger than before through the Blood. The foundation of Blooded grows with each service they provide to the island, and each return to their brothers and sisters proves them more resilient than prior. Hand in hand a soldiers’ Fortitude and Service push them beyond. “

If she were to persist through this and find herself stronger, she would need aid to investigate the past. Stories of fallen guardians, and places of power must be learned. Dragons colored as the Blood, or creatures darker than the night itself being destroyed. If the guardians had ever been slain before by evils seeking to claim their power or destroy the blessings, information of such must be somewhere. Stories, histories, and rumors of the past and present are all required. Her specialty far from such, she prays the two more capable would be able to learn of these while she set forward to rally a band of Witch Hunters for a request of the island’s safety. They had a hag to hunt before she found her way into the dreams of each denizen living on the island. A pyre waited for such a creature to think itself strong enough to bring corruption onto this guardian of Thain.
Ars longa, vita brevis

Chapter Eight

[ image disabled ]

Herbs, drinks, and rituals. Nothing worked to see this chaplain find rest as this hunt moved forward. A creature of darkness flushed from the dream it sought to capture the Blooded within now wanders the island proper. Or rather, that was the plan. Yet, the creature still delivered terrors that saw the chaplain unable to find sleep…

The demon strode forward, a single step made as the world bent around him and he appeared before her in an instant. Hefting his cursed dagger, a practiced smirk etched into his face.

“Well, ladies first.”, the fiend spoke as he plunged the blade through her neck and forced the Blooded into the nightmare. He saw our force as a tool, as a means to the Hag’s end. He saw through our forms, to the blessings we carried. A vile creature from the abyss… capable of thought… it was a terrifying realization. It claimed to be bound to the hag by some witchcraft and a blade.

One by one they appeared in the twisted dreamscape. A perverse mockery of Fort Riftenfahl stood looming in the distance, endlessly deep shadows encapsulated the eastern woods. The Chaplain begrudgingly took point next to the demon, she would not trust this… beast to protect her comrades. The paths twisted; branches moved with unnatural jerks. Conversations and images begin to blur, a tree, his tree, shrouded by darkness. Fort Rifenfahl patrolled by soldiers of nothing but oily shadow. The hag, an unbeatable foe, unrelenting in her torments. A book speaking of a ritual. A cleric shrouded in ń̶̡̞̚o̷̻̍ṱ̶̌͝h̶̼̦̑́ï̷̺n̴̬̈́g̶̳͠. A song is sung, a ritual disrupted, a nightmare dismantled.
The hag’s realm was shattered along with the ritual within the nightmare of a forest. Her altar to ń̶̡̞̚o̷̻̍ṱ̶̌͝h̶̼̦̑́ï̷̺n̴̬̈́g̶̳͠ crushed. Her form weakened, and shunted to the realm of the living, rather than that of a dream.

The Blood Chaplain comes to terms with her thoughts, as she tries to find rest again. As she falls to her own mind, escaping from her consciousness, she is returned to the haunted woods. Void grows, darkness lurks, and silence consumes her. She glances around, alone rather than with her allies. Her footsteps and heartbeat haunt her as she is forced back into this recollection of the curse. A crash startles her, jolting the woman awake. A dropped crate on its way to Scholar Rolcam’s study.

Rather than sit hostage in her own bed, she dons her robes – grabbing a candle from the nightstand as she moves toward the chapel. Her legs race toward her holy book as she looks to find peace in the wisdom it provides.

“Of Sacrifice and Order”

“To see the crops bloom of a Blooded’s deeds is to live as the bestial immortals would. Sacrifice for the protection of Thain provides the ground for which an arch may be built, while the order provided by the shield all Blooded carry provides the stone used to create the monument. If one does not exist, neither does the other. Beasts and creatures of darkness prowl the nightscape of Thain. It is the job of Blooded to see them fail, and order upheld. Darkness does not find ground as the Blood Guard gives their time, their lives, and their weapons to see the island protected. Thain and her people come at the front of each Blooded’s mind, for without such consideration, the Blooded would grow weak.

Training of the mind to ensure the spears the Blood Guard carry strike first, training of the body to see arrows loosed before a creature may slash into the armor of an innocent, and training of the connection to Thain’s greatest gift, the Blood, to see the body persevere. That is the order of which Blooded stand behind. They have seen themselves through such a discipline – and now charge toward the darkness as the Blood guides. Prepared to sacrifice every ounce of self, should it mean others of the island are kept safe. Where one Blooded should fall, the Blood calls another.

Provide the safety of lands across the island, provide the foundations, and see the races who stand against darkness rise. The foul creatures who should haunt the island will not hold so much as a candle to the bonfire of light that will see such purged.

Ideals of such will see Blooded rise and fall, as the war against beasts continues. This is a path all Blooded understand but must not fear. See order rise, by any sacrifice that must be made. Follow the ideals set forth by the Blood, descend into the blessings, and conquer the darkness.”

Where one problem is solved, another rises. She closes the text as she wraps her cloak around her body and sits in prayer within the chapel. This creature still haunts the island. The hag still stands, and she holds the guardian of shadow hostage. To see darkness pushed back and brought into order, they must find and destroy such a creature. A belief is held to herself that if it had once dreamed of claiming the north, it would return yet again. The frozen mountains await her again, lest the hag not feel her flames.

Her single eye glances toward the spear she had stabbed into the demon’s back. The creature who insisted on crawling back to the plane of mortals no matter the number of banishments he endured. Her hand reaches to her neck, a white jagged scar remains from where the creature had cleaved his blade into her neck, forcing her into the nightmare of a hag’s creation. He had escaped once more, but the blood shall see him hunted again in time – after the balance of blessings had been found.

Chapter Nine

[ image disabled ]

The war ended, the blood-soaked chaplain rides north with her brothers and sisters from the gates of Hammersong. Gifts of odd creation from the vaults offered to the Blooded by the King and his advisor in their final moments – they ride to not return less darkness should haunt their halls once more. The woman looks over her supplies and shakes her head – everything was gone after the Blooded had brought destruction to the Underking. Her chest patched and held together with chains until proper healing could be found at the keep – she veers from the trail with her allies to find herself in the Feywood. She had heard rumors of an elf who questioned not the injured and would see them given ample supplies. A basket of herbs and some mending… it may have been months before she would be battle-ready again if not for Thain and her blessings working in mystery.

As she collects her wicker basket of healing supplies to ride again, she spots a familiar bridle across a horse, a cover of house Everguard. She glances around, seeing if she can spot the songstress as she sees her speaking with an elf clad in a white cloak, with darkened black eyes. A conversation in short catches the chaplain up with news, being told of the war to come across the north. Devils skulk from the mountains and aim to press through Hamley. The tension alone from such an idea rips open the wounds across her chest from where she had nearly fallen days ago.

The conversation pauses, as the elf points a blade toward the Chaplain. Claiming it an artifact, a measure of healing through the light. The man pledged himself to aid the protection of the island against the traveling devils, and now claims this blade could see her wounds healed if for but a moment she would trust it and grab the blade with wounded hand. The songstress near the elf claims his words true, even if the blade may still cut. Tension turns the seconds to hours while blood pours down from her wounds. She extends her hand and trusts the figure a split moment, her single eye meeting the abyss of his glare.

An eruption of light flashes to her eye, her feet leaving the ground as it cascaded around the woman’s form in a cocoon of light. A font of light from the center of the grove envelops the chaplain as the blinding force flushes shut her wounds.

Elven magicks… perhaps not… perhaps a blessing of the island in disguise… an oddity never endured by the chaplain… In that moment after – she considers her pledge, the words she follows in all her patrols and ventures to the unknown. Words and guidance of the Blood…

Of Fortitude to Persevere, of Sacrifice to Persist

“Where work is done, the Blooded find their wounds. Serving as the measure between darkness and light – the path less traveled ensuring safety and prosperity through the ruin brought to creatures and illness of Thain – that is the domain of those blessed in full by her Blood. Thain may grant all her devout gifts and aid, but she will only do so as they travel a path that shall lead onto her blemishes and wounds. As those chosen by her blessings walk, breath, and live on her lands… They must be willing to not only persevere through such trials and tasks of seeing Thain and her lands cared for but must be willing to prove they are capable of sacrificing their entirety for her namesake.

Descending deeper into her care, and following through the trail to her heart, shows where a follower’s true intentions are found. Do they stray the path, seeking only certain sets of mortals may persist on her lands? Does the fear of death in the sight of darkness push a blooded backwards, retreating from seeing their work done? Or… does the Blooded, the devout, and the chosen - Do they rise to uncertainty, persisting through their own fortitude, a fortitude gifted to them through the Blood.

The Blooded make this sacrifice, they persist as crops on the farm – for they should know the Blood will be good – and it shall ensure their mission bring a greater harmony than that which existed before their own arrival or before they had taken on such a blessing. Those of the Blood are not born with such a task but sought after by Thain herself. She calls to those who have been wronged and seek the right and through such darkness is hunted. The island is cared for and nurtured.

Move as your legs fall, struggle as the darkness attempts to oppress, and never remain stationary with one’s actions. Strike before the beast may open its claw to reveal further destruction for others who seek for peace alone on the island and are not called on by the Blood. Purge the darkness, banish the wicked – and remember the Blooded shall not settle for a mission half complete.”

A blessing complete, and a healing transpired. Motions had been set forward to hunt the hag corrupting the island, and a new war horn calls for Celestine’s aid in seeing the island safe. The chaplain would see Hamley protected from the disgusting actions of devils, and any others the wicked may threaten. Her flesh had been bind through the light of Thain and she moves her feet forward to battle once more.
