The Memorial stone seems to be lonely, the golden-clad Master Heckel has not been seen doing his recurrent moments of prayer for the poor souls reasently, infact he has not been seen at all in the grand halls of Hammersong.
Whispers and rumors are starting to get around the halls. Some say that Master Glognar have fallen, a victim of the duergars constant attacks of the mines. Other say that he have traveled back to his homelands again.
But if you are lucky enough to run into Gloisil, ((Who is Glogs (un)known sister)) She will dissmiss all rumors. Though she will not say more then that he is still on the island she is certain he will come back in a few weeks or a month.

Meanwhile a rare sight is seen by the inhabitants of the Thayan settlement near Davenshire. A dwarf is ushered inside for a meeting with the Khazark.

Semli exits the council chamber with a solemn look on his face. They took the news better than expected, but he still worried about the road ahead.
Stopping off with Surla, he leaves a note for the Stewards explaining what he can about the situation, then gathers his things and begins yet another trip into the mines.
Seeing his weariness some of the Hoplites offer their help with this patrol, but he waves them off, saying "it's by order o' tha Prince, I mus' go it alone."
As Glognar has not been seen in several days, some start to wonder if Semli is really going to look for him and that is the cause of his weariness. Especially since some of the tunnel guards last remember seeing Semli and Glognar enter the tunnels together, but only Semli returning from the depths.

Almost on the day, a month from when Semli and Glognar was seen walking down the mines towards the underdark, the gold-clad worrior returns to the halls, with a grim expression on his face he walks past the guards in the mines with just a short nod when they greet him. The same happens when he passes the guardpost outside the smithy. With no stop he treads into the councilchaimber.
The people that walk past the closed door can hear angry yelling voices, the one that can be heard the most is Master Brendan.
With a determined face Glognar walks back out and walks with firms steps to find his fellow stewards. They have a mission, the most importaint one they have ever been tasked.

Things were moving too fast for her liking. Almost no time to prepare, and so little information to go on.
Styvn had been in the right place at the right time, so perhaps the gods blessed their endeavour. Kimli takes a sip of the spirits, setting the flask to one side with a sigh as she reaches for fresh parchment. Ras needed to be informed.

Azel made his way into the great temple in Hammersong. After speaking briefly with Pelden, he made his way to the priests rooms, and began to get changed into his formal robes. This was a rare event for a Kaxanar, for the worship of Haela mainly took place on the field, dressed in plate and hip deep in gore. But she did indeed have a few formal ceremonies that required that the Kaxanar looked the part, and Azel felt they were appropriate for this occassion.
He made his way into the temple, the robe with its few light plates and pieces of mail feeling more restrictive that his plate ever had. He walked first to the mighty pillars at the rear where the Laws of Hammersong, as made by Rugar Lawgiver, first king under Hammersong Mountain, were carved.
The Third Law of Hammersong:
He who steals from the Dwarves of Hammersong shall be brought to death.
The Second Law of Hammersong:
He who betrays the Dwarves of Hammersong shall be brought to death.
The First Law of Hammersong:
He who murders a Dwarf of Hammersong shall be brought to death.
Thinking deeply on these for a time, he moved to the body of the temple and knelt. After a few minutes, he began to pray.

All was prepared, the pieces were set, time to move...
The Stewards of Hammersong gather with friends at the King's Beard pub, and Glognar gives the mission briefing.
Together they had down into the mines and then the duergar warrens.
Down in the warrens it is time for transformations.
They enter the duergar city in disguise (group shot with Illithid).
Down in the dungeons they find a terrible sight.
And the broken body of what was once a proud king.
The prince's reunion with his father is a bitter one.

And so the body of King Rugar Greathammer XIV was brought back to the halls of Hammersong. A great lamentation arose among the dwarves and the sad sounds of the temple gongs reverberated through the city.
A proclamation has been sent out to all lawful and important settlements of Thain:
"Let it be known that the king of Hammersong, Rugar Greathammer XIV, has taken his deserved place among our exalted ancestors.
His earthly shell lies in state in the most holy Temple of the Song in the city of Hammersong. All citizens of Hammersong and all friends of the dwarven people are invited to pay their respects to our former monarch.
May his soul burn brightly among his peers and may his bones return to the earth from whence they came.
