For any that read my new Nature Night post before I corrected it... Malam is going to the Fey Realm to find a cure. He is ...not going to the Spirit Realm ... to fix the fact that he spent too much time in uhmm..the Spirit Realm.

I need to edit more closely.

  • Some updates in Davenshire. The slaad presence has been somewhat reduced, particularly in the southeast corner.
  • Bugfixes to the flesh beast.
  • Casting healing or resurrection spells on non-ethereal targets now strips Greater Sanctuary from the caster.
  • Dragon Fear duration reduced.
  • Dragon breath damage increased (only full-blooded dragons currently - may look at RDD breath soon.)
  • Dragon breath no longer respects Evasion
  • Undisclosed stuff.

  • Tridents now are 2-H, 1d8, 19-20/x3 (originally 2-H, 1d8, 20/x2.) A client-side update will be needed to get this change.
  • Throwing axes weight reduced to 0.3 per.
  • IC Battlefield updates!
    • The planar inhibitors surrounding the Iron City have been destroyed!
    • The Iron City has begun to receive supplies from the outside again. Portals are possible again. The portal imps have reduced prices to what they insist is a reasonable amount.
    • The Empyrean have called for aid from their celestial allies, opening a portal just behind the lines through which they receive celestial reinforcements and supplies.
    • The Empyrean commander Darienne was captured during a battle in Hamley, and has disappeared. Titania of the celestial order is serving as acting commander.

  • New Chat Commands for possessed familiars
    /famuse - Causes a possessed familiar to use the nearest object.
    /famtake - Causes a possessed familiar to pick up the nearest item (the item is sent to the master)
  • Blade thirst now works on throwing weapons.
  • Elemental Quiver is now available as a bounty reward for 30 points.
  • Shapechange and Polymorph Self now merge armor and weapon properties.
  • Adds several new traps to the /craft store for crafters with appropriate skill ranks:
    • Grease Trap: Casts Grease at the target location
    • Bear Trap: Summons a Hostile Dire Bear.
    • Acid Shred Trap: Deals 5d6 acid damage in a small radius, and shreds 20% armor for 10 rounds.
    • Drain Trap: Drains 33% of health on a failed Fort save, max 150. Also slows for 1 round.
    • Trip Wire: KD for one round on a failed fort save.
    • Blind Trap: Blinds for 5 rounds on a failed Will save - large AoE.
    • Alert Trap: Alerts the creator that a hostile creature has passed.
    • Rat Trap: Turns the target into a rat on failed Will save.
    • Storm Trap: Knocks back everything near to where the trap goes off if they fail a fort save.
    • Curse Trap: Applies a randomized Curse on a failed fort save
    • Shrink Trap: Shrinks the target on a failed Fort save, greatly reducing attack damage.

  • The Empyrean Aurora have abandoned the Wastes camp.
  • Darienne has been returned to the Empyrean watchtower based on Rhandum celestial efforts.
  • The Wastes have begun to show more signs of growth. Enormous sandworms now stalk the dunes looking for spice.
  • Duration of hour/level summons greatly extended to allow for more RP.
  • Flight effects now require line of sight, similar to shadow jumps.

    New player eventing features for the set-dressers:
    • -Adds new command /summonwings x and /nextsummonwings x to allow more summon customization. Set the wing type with 0-6. /familiarwings and /compwings also added.
      -Adds new command /nextreleasesummon which automatically releases future summons onto the specified faction immediately after it is summoned.
      -Adds a vfx parameter to /nextplaceable (this works like /nextsummonvfx)
      -/nextplaceable commands will now persist after a placeable has been set down. These can be cleared manually with /clearplaceable.

  • Fixed a bug where /nextreleasesummon did not rename summons correctly.
  • Monster Catcher creatures are now considered summons and can be reskinned.
  • Commander Illandarious, leader of the Hell Knights, has disappeared from the battlefield. Some believe he is plotting the Iron City counterattack, other rumors insist he was somehow injured.

  • The Siege of the Iron City has ended. The Empyrean Aurora have retreated to Hamley.
  • The Iron City's queen was slain in a double-cross. The city now has a new queen, the Queen Llritha!
  • The Empyrean have constructed a new fortress in their last remaining stronghold of Hamley, Fort Bennars. It overlooks the western gate.
  • The goods previously on sale in the Wastes can now be found in this fortress.

  • Bear Traps now create a bear on the target instead of the caster.
  • Bigby's 6, 7, 9 - now rolls a Fortitude save instead of a Grapple check
  • Meteor Swarm - Now knocks down for one round on a failed save.
  • Energy Drain: Now heals for the damage dealt
  • Elemental Swarm: Now summons all four elementals at once.
  • Great Thunderclap: Stun and KD Duration increased to 10 seconds.
  • Mind Fog: Will save removed. Penalty reduced to -5. Now 1/turn level
  • Fireball: May now leave a placeable fire where it lands.
  • Flame Strike: May now leave a placeable fire where it lands.
  • Chain Lightning: May leaves a scorch mark behind if it kills the initial target.
  • Ice storm: Now has a chance to leave a patch of ice.
  • Nature's Balance - New effect: Heals for 4d8 damage + 1 per caster level each round for 5 rounds. Reduces enemy physical stats by -2 on a failed will save. Grows ferns in the area where it is cast.

  • New VFX chat commands: /aurared, /auragold, /aurafire, /auraacid
  • Adds cauldron to /placeables merchant.
  • The Gull-lings have flown away from the wild grove, having grown up. They long for the sea!
  • Sandworm spawns in the Wastes are less frequent, but also less predictable.
  • Fixed a bug where level 20 Premonition was DR 30/+7 instead of 30/+6. In exchange for this, Cuchuwyn has agreed to never again complain about casters.
  • Flowers now sometimes grow at each of the elemental shrines that allow players to change the weather.
  • Some reworks and changes to modernize the spell slot upgrade quests:
    • Islime's spellslot upgrade quest option removed.
    • Hantar now offers a choice of two upgrade-items when his quest is complete:
      King's Amber: Grants +1 universal saves if applied to a weapon. Grants a spell shield passive when applied to armor. This passive automatically negates a single resistable spell that would affect you. This effect has a 5 minute cooldown.
      Starfire Diamond: If applied to a weapon, grants +1 to the save DC of all spells you cast. If applied to armor, grants 3 additional spell slots of appropriate levels (4/5/6 for full casting classes, 2/3/4 for half-casting classes.)
    • For those who have done the quest, both gems are also available in the bounty hut for 40 points. Note that these gems cannot be stacked with other bounty armor or weapon upgrades, such as Chaos Armor.

  • Following the efforts of several player groups, the Thayan Outpost in the south has been built once more, as the Thayan Empire looks to gain a foothold on the island again with the help of the refugees who have flocked to the southern fort after the fall of Ravenís Watch. A massive warship has been seen off the coast, with smaller vessels docking at the outpost to offload supplies. The outpost has also begun offering Thayan-made equipment to those who visit. After all, they have a profit to make!
  • /settwoweapons command removed. Characters weapons now receive both previous bonuses automatically when dual-wielding (both +2 AB and +2 AC) These bonuses also now apply when equipping double weapons.
  • Shadowdancer/Assassin poisons now apply automatically when those classes equip their melee weapons.
  • Strong assassin poison now inflicts Blind instead of Doom.
  • Rhakir in the Ebon Trading Post can now remove the gem from the demilich skull (previously this option was only available to Northlands-neutral PCs.)
  • XP reward for Hof's and Donale's (up to delivering letter to Bargus) increased to 500
  • New characters now get Omnidye off the boat
  • Traps now can be stacked in inventory (up to 5)
  • Dire Mace now has a x3 crit multiplier
  • Double-Sided Weapons are now 2d4 damage (instead of 1d8 - test to see if the 0.5 increase in average damage makes them interesting)
