I in a ways agree that it'll just be based around powergamers, although the question is whether they will have RP servers for it to counter that. I was never fond of things like WoW because of some of the younger generations misconception of what RP is.. *logged onto RP server and found a bunch of people doing some really vivd yet fail adult rp* part of me wants to risk getting it just to have a laugh...but I guess you dont know till it comes out

One of the issues with these games attracting powergamers, is that that the fight mechanics for "end game content" often favor optimized builds and mechanically weak ones are a sever handicap to the group you're running with

They say theres no single player, its not a nwn3 its neverwinter as they stated....its got the campaing and a world that you can add content to, but no building things like pws

I've been following this game for a while now, and if you guys remember, this project got bought out about 2 or 3 different times in different stages of its development. Originally, it was supposed to come out on Dec. 31, 2012. The first company that was making it was going to make basically an engine for DnD games - you could pick certain classes as a character, and jump into basically a singleplayer world with 4 other people, or less if you wanted. It was not quite an MMO, but you could play with any group of 5 all around the world. Cool conept!
However, it was bought out a few months after development started, I believe, and was changed into an MMO completely by that company (they made MMO's that are well-known, but I forget which). I think it was bought out again but kept as an MMO? Not quite sure. (For the record, the game itself wasn't bought, but rather the companies working on it did.)
Anyhow, the game now is a lot less exciting than it was when it was first announced. I will check it out depending on the reviews it gets!
