Minnie in Wonderland pt. I

Aargh.

Where was she? Everything was foggy and black and dark... And she was just lying there. What was going on?

"Minnie..."

"Eeep!!" Minnie squeaked, pushed herself up and looked around frantically for the source of the voice.

"Minnie!"
"What... Who are you... No, wait, where are you?!"
"That doesn't matter... Just listen... Look, I just want you to-..."

And then the voice faded. Just like that.

"Hello? Helloooo?" Minnie closed her eyes. When she opened them again she found herself in the deseert. The endless desert in the wastes, by the look of it.

"Ohhhhhh, no..."

Minnie in Wonderland pt. II

Minnie looked around, squinting her eyes to block out the sun's rays. That was when she saw a piece of paper lying at her feet. She picked it up and looked at it. It looked like there was a poem or a song of some sort written on it.

A thousand miles
A thousand miles
A thousand miles long

Maybe we could
Maybe we could
Write ourselves a song

Lots of time
Lots of time
Lots of time to waste

After all

No need to make haste.

As Minnie looked up she found herself thinking Who's we?, when she saw him... Or it.

Minnie in Wonderland pt. III

There was a hin-sized humanoid (Maybe) standing about ten feet away from her. He (It?) was wearing a helmet with stag horns and a long brown robe that touched the ground. He had a slender figure and a deep voice.

"I am Gabriel. I am your guide." He said (Gabriel should be a guy's name...!).

"Guide... Through what?"

"Your thoughts. You chose to ignore the power of the Boulders, and you are not in shape to die. You are here to sort through everything and find a way to live again."

Minnie thought about that. She hadn't been doing much living lately... Maybe this was good. She decided to follow this guy for now. And then he read her mind.

"Good. Follow me." Minnie decided to ignore the mind-reading business and watched in awe as he waved his hand around and green-blue swirl of energy in the shape of a door showed up... Out of no where.

He walked through the door-like swirl and disappeared. Minnie followed in afterward and got the shock of her life- It felt like someone reached into her throat and grabbed her guts.

Next thing she knew, they were floating about a forest (Eeeek!), and Gabriel was talking again.

"This our first and last stop. You're mind is more at peace somehow. You are different from the others that I guide. Anyways, this is the Trees of Thought. You are to be lowered to the center of the forest." And of course, before she could respond, she was hovering rather quickly into the trees until her feet touched the ground and she was sitting in front of an old, tall willow tree.

"What am I supposed t-...." Minnie realized Gabriel wasn't there with her. She looked around, afraid of what was going on.

Minnie in Wonderland pt. IV

And then the tree talked. Of course.

"My dear, my sweet, it is time for you to accept who you are. Grievances cause for happy events. When a child runs away the reunion is warm. When someone gives birth to a bastard child, it is still loved. When people are outcasted, the day they are accepted and loved is the greatest feeling in the world. You can relate to last one of my examples and I promise you, you will not be disappointed with your life. Look at the situation on Thain. Your home is being rebuilt into a new town, the Thayans have paid for their troubles and retreated, and Ren... Is being looked after until the day comes when he arises once more. You are no different. To be happy, to be yourself again, you must accept this and move on, but not forget. Think about everything, really think."

She did. She thought hard, and long, and hard and long about everything. Everything since birth, up till now. The realization of how many horrible things she had already pulled through brought her close to tears, but brought her self-confidence back.

This creepy tree was right. It was time to help with town, help get Ren back, help recuperate. It wasn't time to sit around and cry. It was time to get off her ass and work off the tears. Pull through the sadness.

"You are ready, my dear, my sweet. Go on..."

Again she found felt the power of the boulders tugging at her, beckoning her to them. And this time, she gave in. As she woke up with world's largest head-ache in the Grove, she prayed a silent little prayer to Arvoreen, which consisted of one word.

"Please."

Days passed by, the little hin was doing better but the raw wound that opened up from the image of Ren's mutilated body still stung. She kept herself happy on the outside, but inside... The little hin's heart was being crushed.

Time passed and the hin couldn't stop thinking about him. Ren. Her one love. No matter how much she thought she only came to one decision. She would have to ask the God Arvoreen to bring him back; at the price of her faith.

She stood at the bank of a gorgeous river, her back to a stone. She reached out with every once of her mind to Arvoreen, hoping he would hear.

[Whispered prayers]".... I will serve you forever, for eternity and longer, if you return him to me... Please, I will serve you forever, starting now..."[More whispered prayers]
